- Moses of Sodilkov (Ephraim Moses Hayyim of Sodilkov)
- (c.1737-c.1800)Ukrainian Hasidic leader, grandson of the Baal Shem Tov. He studied under Dov Ber Mezhirich, and lived as a rabbi and preacher in Sodlikov in Volhynia. His Degel Mah aneh Ephraim is based on the doctrines of the Baal Shem Tov and teaches that the goal of Hasidism is humility and self-evaluation. The role of the tzaddikim is to reprove and reform those who are negligent, and to elevate the people through prayer and religious teaching.
